About the Organisation
Food for Soul is an Italian non-profit founded by Chef Massimo Bottura to empower communities to fight food waste through social inclusion. Our aim is to encourage public, private, and non-profit organisations to create and sustain community kitchens around the world to promote the importance of taking back the abandoned: food, spaces, and people. Our ‘refettorios,’ which have been opened across Italy, in the UK, in Paris, and in Brazil, aim to respond to the local challenges surrounding food poverty and social isolation while supporting sustainable food systems and reducing waste.
Job Scope
Food for Soul (and our small team based in Modena) is quickly growing and is looking for a proactive and creative intern to support our communications team as we continue our sustainable expansion. The selected individual will work directly with our Communication and Networking Officer in creating and monitoring communications. This includes but is not limited to: the creation of web content and development of stories, the design of visual content, and the evaluation and monitoring of each of our projects’ impacts for communications purposes.
Requirements
Per Italian law, the applicant must be a current student with an agreement from their University at the time of Internship.
Students with majors in communications, journalism, and graphic design, or the equivalent, are preferred.
Strong proficiency in English and Italian is required.
Excellent using graphic tools including Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe, Google tools, etc.
Proficiency and interest in research, analysis, and monitoring.
Strong team working skills
Innovative thinking
Strong editing and translation skills.
